The research group on Computing and Data Understanding at eXtreme Scale (CDUX), co-directed by Prof. Hank Childs and Prof. Jieyang Chen, pursues problems at the intersection of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), scientific visualization and analysis, scientific data reduction, computational science, and computer graphics. We have performed research for many sponsors, including the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, and private industry. The results of our research have appeared at premier venues, including IEEE VIS, ACM/IEEE SC, ACM PPoPP, ACM HPDC, IEEE IPDPS, IEEE LDAV, IEEE TVCG and IEEE TPDS.

CDUX is part of the Computer Science Department at the University of Oregon.
