Bio

Sudhanshu completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Oregon in June 2020. Sudhanshu's dissertation focused on advancing Lagrangian-based techniques that enable exploration of large time-varying vector fields as well as demonstrating efficacy and in situ viability at scale on modern supercomputers. Further, Sudhanshu conducted a broad survey of seed placement and streamline selection techniques resulting in a CGF state-of-the-art report.

During his time as a graduate student, Sudhanshu pursued collaboration efforts via internships at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2016 and Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2017, and as a visiting scholar to the University of Kaiserslautern in 2018 and University of Utah in 2019. Upon graduation, Sudhanshu joined the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute at the University of Utah as a postdoctoral research fellow advised by Dr. Chris Johnson. At SCI, Sudhanshu's research focuses will include in situ processing, time-varying vector fields, uncertainty, and multidimensional visualization.

Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Sudhanshu received an M.S. in Computer Science (2016) at the University of Oregon and received his B.E. in Information Technology (2013) from the University of Pune, India.
